- Kindergarten class in the Peltre village school - September 1959.
Peltre was located across the highway from 1 Air Diviaion HQ and served as home to many RCAF personnel and their families. Anne Guntensperger, five years of age, was the only foreigner in the school. The teacher was "Soeur Berthe" (76 years of age). The military dependents school would not accept children under six years of age. The French only required the children to be toilet trained.
