  6. Searching the "Last Post" listing - August 2002.
Kaye and Wally Ingraham of Sydney, NS, left, point out the Last Post remembrance of John Dwyer, a good friend they made during their years of duty. At right, Michael Koerner and Jack Schleihauf, both of the Ottawa region, locate the notation for Jack's first wife, Janet (Simpson).

  7. A Fish Story by Ray Mahar and Terry Tennier - August 2002.
While at CFB Lowther 37 years or so ago. Terry and I were fishing on the Opasatika River, South of Lowther. We caught a ton of pickerel, unfortunately according to the Game Wardens "too many". I also caught with great skill I might add a 31.5 pound pike. Because we had over fished the pickerel the wardens also seized my pike. We both paid our fines etc, I cried and thought it was gone forever. But, I later learned "Sneaky Terry" had claimed the Pike as his. Over the years I requested at least a picture of the fish that I feared he was claiming as his. As you can see, he finely came clean at this years reunion and admitted it was indeed caught by "ME" and to my utter surprise presented the mounted fish to me.

  9. (L-R) Lilly and Gene Lalonde from Elliot Lake, Ontario, meet up with Susan and Don Fox of Oshawa at the FCO reunion - August 2002.
The Foxes have been considering moving to the 'retirement haven' that Elliot Lake has become since its mine closed, and found plenty of support and comraderie from the Lalondes.

  10. (L-R) Bob Palmer of Clearwater Florida, had not seen Clovis 'Douce' Doucette since departing St. Margaret's in 1963 - August 2002.
It was as if nary a day had passed between them. "Douce" was about to be interviewed for an article in The Guardian newspaper and invited Palmer to join in, which he did without a second thought.

  11. An unidentified attendee took to the stage to help PHASE II vocalist Jerry Hickey carry the delegates back to another era during the reunion's closing dance - August 2002.

  12. Murray Glanville came all the way from Langley, BC - August 2002.
He doesn't seem too disappointed about displaying his allergy card at the banquet. There were plenty of good friends and good times to make up for the alternate menu.
